Tips
General
- The absolute first thing you want to do is save up to buy the jetpack from Rob's Imports, as it makes navigating the game a lot faster. A round or two of Game Worlds will get you the 2,000 units.
- I play with voice chat off because people are nasty. This is not a high stakes game that requires voice coordination.
- You can block individual Workshop avatars, either through the Tab-key userlist menu on a case-by-case basis or in the Workshop search.
Making money
- Get a metal detector (The Stray; 5,000 U). The regularly-occuring Treasure from Sea event will get you that money back; you get 10 buried items, worth anything from 25 to 20,000 U.
- Try all the minigame events and figure out which ones you're good at. You can figure this out from the Stats section of your Collection Book. I can get 20,000 U from Balloon Burst. I haven't broken 2,000 U in Snowball Battle.
Condo decorating
- The Chrome Trashbin (Sweet Suite Furnishings; 300 U) makes a neat and cheap pedestal, especially if you flatten it.
- You can rotate and stretch a sliding door to make an elevator.
Golf
- Golf is frustrating for newbies, there's no way around it. Playing with public server randos is a better way to get a feel for the trick shots, but they're also just as likely to rage or waste your time.
- If you've got a straight shot to the hole, I like to measure the strength arrow to about a quarter of the way there.
Holidays
- Golf is the fastest way to get holiday coins and money at the same time. Arcade games are the fastest way to get just coins.
