I suppose this is the first entry in my personal blog! Hello!

I’ve been bounced around from online journal to online journal for as long as I’ve been online. Here’s some places you might have seen me around:

• DeviantART (2004-2009, 2017-2019): Yes, this was also a blogging platform. I know that too well. I have a stance of “I don’t want to shit where I eat” when it comes to mixing personal posts and art, and I suppose that comes from dA.
• LiveJournal (200?-2010): I hosted the first edition of Needleminder on here, along with a lot of other stuff. I used to make Quizilla quizzes and I miss that. Community was terrible in retrospect.
• GreatestJournal (2004): This was a LiveJournal clone, but I joined it specifically because you could have A THOUSAND free icons. I guess that’s why it went down like three years later.
• Dreamwidth (2013-2015, 2017-2020): Gonna be real, I associate this site with some of my most debilitating psychotic episodes. It’s the only modern LiveJournal-style website actually being maintained, it has excellent privacy options, and it fills an important online niche. But it’s also a place where I saw multiple different people writing unchallenged posts celebrating necrophilia. What.
• Twitter (2010-2022): The bane of my existence.
• Plurk (2011?): Hey, does anyone remember this one? It was like Twitter, but horizontal. I’m not even joking.
• Mastodon (2018): Like Twitter, except the person who can read your DMs is your age and knows you personally. Good idea, terrible terrible terrible applications.
• Tumblr (2010-now): Probably my favorite mainstream ‘social media’ site nowadays, but I first joined it because me and my friends were obsessed with that bad art blog that was really popular at the time. So much petty high school drama.

I also, from 2014 to 2020, wrote for the blog on this very website. And I may eventually return to it! But I guess EggwareXYZ has a name now, and I didn’t want to water it down with talking about my random shit.
