Check out my library!
This has been a labor of love, a multi-day project. In light of the shit happening with the Internet Archive, libraries have felt even more important to me.
I have also been going through the time-consuming process of ripping my own music CDs. I actually had no idea that the library was a place you could just get CDs (I had never been to a library until last year, SHAME). It's cool. I found a jazz album by Jeff Goldblum, what the hell?
This page is getting quite long, so it's probably time I start deciding how I'm going to archive individual blog posts. Truth be told, I have no idea. There's a lot of options but all of them kinda suck.
Oh yeah, my front page has some fun new icons. The Portfolio one is a placeholder for now but I like the rest. I have to rethink my nav bars now, probably.
I finished the Silent Hill quadrilogy recently, if you even care. Silent Hill 4 is my favorite from a strong personal bias, but 3 feels like "objectively" the best game, and 1 is absolutely the coolest. I was really impressed by how good these games actually are, though; it feels often that the coolness of survival horror is not backed up by its gameplay. But all in all, it feels great just having finally experienced the games that have inspired me this whole time.
And I also got to add a bunch of books to my Goodreads want-to-read, since an official guide had a list of media inspirations. I'm currently working my way through TWO giga-books (The Fabric of Civilization, and The Yiddish Policemen's Union) so who knows when I will get to read another book again, but I'm glad I won't be lost for ideas when I make it to the other side of these.
