I'm currently manually updating this whenever I update the rest of my site, so posts might take a while to get here. It also currently doesn't have support for links or outgoing images, and it doesn't look very nice. But ain't it neat?
Pushed the first (entirely backend, so don’t get excited) half of The Big Needleminder Update onto Neocities. Now I am off to a real life laundromat for the very first time because the apartment laundry machine is broken. Let’s hope I do not get so upset that I just die
This is singlehandedly the most oppressive environment I have ever been in. It's like a labyrinth in here. God has not visited a laundromat for He would not have made it this way. Someone is loudly redeeming coins right next to me.

Any ideas on how I could share a shitload, I mean a shitload of video links on my personal website? (I have something like 300+ bookmarks in videos alone.)
- A Lot Of Embeds might be fraught?
- YouTube playlists are ok? but liable to be fucked with. esp videos I liked that got reclassified as YouTube Kids
- Might split them up by category?
This is something I will probably just have to bullshit as I go along but I thought I’d ask in case anyone else has gone down this path. I have honestly never really seen anyone collecting videos on their personal site, just those massive unorganized on-site playlists

I have a lot of character playlists for Needleminder (I think I must have like, over 100 songs altogether? Jesus) and most of them are extremely spoilery but I’m wondering how much you guys would enjoy some curated ones. Since the music tie-ins (which I considered initially to be entirely a personal bonus) have actually seemed to interest people.

Hi I had to wake up early for a stupid phone call and I feel like I'm gonna die so I'm gonna talk about Needleminder now.
So Xander and Josie2 would (will) have the bestest funniest silliest relationship out of anyone in the cast but the reason I haven't had them interact is because they would instantly solve all conflict by either making out or doing running commentary on everything crazy happening. And that is fun but it is not a story. The repression is the story
One of the funniest injokes I put into the newest update. Is that I referred to a character who has a vow of silence (they're a mime. I have a bad feeling I lost my last chance to ever bring it up in the story) in contrast to Josie who couldn't commit to staying quiet. And this is a reference to that Josie was originally a silent character (not mute disabled. There was stupid lore) and then at some point I just FORGOT

Truth be told I don’t even know how to approach making interactive web art now. I knew how to make Macromedia Flash art, even if my copies of Flash were always pirated. But, I mean, what now? How are people doing interactive animations? Do they just not anymore?

It makes me so happy that Needleminder inexplicably appeals to my neon furry friends despite the cast being greying-and/or-balding depressed humans in the torture labyrinth. I don’t know WHY it appeals but I will lean into it as much as I can.

Writing Needleminder has been cool because I can come up with a single joke and go on a days long tangent that started with Ishkur’s Guide to Electronic Music and still not have progressed the plot at all but now it’s loadbearing character development that I can’t remove. Also I drew Alex’s midriff so someone’s probably gonna like that. Update hopefully tonight or tomorrow!

As I get older and more experienced, I'm getting more commissions from people whose work I genuinely like. Seeing people's characters has always been the best part of my job, but now I'm getting people's short film protagonists and fashion mascots. I love it! And it's always obviously someone's dream project, and it just makes me happy. I always leave a commission feeling like a new fan of someone's character.
