I'm currently manually updating this whenever I update the rest of my site, so posts might take a while to get here. It also currently doesn't have support for links or outgoing images, and it doesn't look very nice. But ain't it neat?

Finally trying out Mastodon again. I'm more active(?) on kbin, but there's people I'd like to follow on here, and kbin doesn't really do that well. But I'm mostly posting this just so that I don't have an eerily empty profile. I'm a person! I swear! 😭

I don't have it in me to make a longer post right now... But the Reddit strike is a good thing. Reddit being the best place to find information is not an ideal, and things moving to their own communities will be a positive. This is exactly why keeping all communities on a single (increasingly inaccessible) website, that could go down at any moment, is a bad thing - just look at Twitter.

I’ve been wondering about maybe distributing the tools I built for my extensive video collection. It’s still a “maybe”, as the bulk of the functionality runs through the static site generator Eleventy, which is a bit more complicated than it’s worth for most of my hobbyist indie web friends. But, I suppose I could write a Javascript fork that could run on a single page?

Progressive rock is hands down one of Needleminder’s biggest influences. God bless prog. Whenever I spend a chunk of pages just posting random images or old-internet sideplots that’s my equivalent of a 5-minute-long synth solo.

If you see any of your own behavior in Alex, just know that you are gazing into a fascinating series of funhouse mirrors, of teenage me (at the time undiagnosed) relating to Steven Page (at the time undiagnosed) relating to Brian Wilson (being abused by his psychiatrist). Maybe I'll go more into detail about this later. But I only yesterday learned about the shit with Dr. Landry and it filled me with a strange feeling, that I related to this and didn't even know, just like Steven Page didn't know either.
